Greetings all!

In NX8.5 (and some versions prior) we used to have Instance Geometry tool which could be used in the From-To mode, which was marvellous when used with CSYS's. It was very robust and requried few mouse clicks.

What new tool in NX9 is analogous to this operation? I was able to produce similar results using Pattern Feature and Pattern Geometry, but it required a lot more mouse clicks and was a bit counter-intuitive - at least at first glance. Did I get it right, and these tools when used this way are really supposed to be the replacement for the old Instance Geometry From-To mode? Or maybe I'm overlooking some simplier way to accomplish the task?

No, what you've discovered IS the go-forward trust, utilizing a COMMON set of 'Patterning' capabilities so that once you became familiar with these capabilities in one of the Pattern functions you'll then be able to use another Pattern function without special training since they will both utilize the same basic options and workflows.
