Opening in a Masonry wall

I have to cut out an 8'x8' opening in a interior non-loadbearing CMU wall about 20' high and 60' long. Any suggestionsas what to watch out for or what the most practical method would be.

Cracking. It would be possible to install an angle to transfer vertical loads prior to removing of the 8'x8' section of wall, but the 12' above the opening will crack as the angle deforms.

Make sure you check for lateral stability under 5psf internal wall pressure.
