HI, im really new to pro-e and when i try to open a step file this appears:

"Design intent is unclear"

Then the i got the menu manager open and i have to click like a million of times till the file opens.

I just would like to know if there is an other way to skip the millions clicks and just let it do it itself.

Thanks for your reply.

Edit: I have to click in Done/Return button.

I just want to know if is there any posibility to skip the clicking thing. and how should i do it.

Chongs,

Try the following.

1. Instead of directly opening it, drag the file and drop
it in proE window.
2. Create any assembly and drag, drop the step file.
If you could attach the step file or any screenshot of the
error in your reply.

there are some very powerful tools inside the edit definition functionality of redefining an IGES or STEP file. The tool is called 'Data Doctor' and with those tools you can delete move modify manipulate the geometry in anyway imaginable. There is a great deal there to use and not something easily covered even in a two day class.
