For a slab model using plates, to check the one way shear capacity of the slab near the column. Program gives you Qx and Qy both with signs positive. Since its one-way check you won't sum up the two values to compare with (Phi)Vc for concrete?

Thanks

These shears are relative to the plates local axes. Therefore, look at the span direction of your plate and you will see which one corresponds to the 1-way shear you are interested in. Note: if the two values are close to each other this could mean that you're getting two way shear, or that the 1-way shear you are getting doesn't line up with the plate's local axes.
