Hi busbar, I to have been amased at some of the posts you can find in these forums. It's a wonder some people hold down their jobs, clearly their bosses don't know what they say on these forums. Originaly for audio forums, this useful little guide should be of great help to these guys.
{Sorry…lost the thread title and number.}
cbarn— “…air of gravitas?” “…defenestration?” Just to defend my dedication to personal observations expressed at eng-tips—“jlhforum” is a hilarious {and now bookmarked} link. Rest assured these days my time here is only charged to untraceable “miscellaneous consultant, NOS” payroll accounts. As for my current boss, please ask him if indeed his waste size and IQ match exactly. If you talk to him, do compliment his ridiculous hair plugs in the process. I am tops in nonproductivity in my division for the last several years, but still do more work and generate a lot more billables than he or any of his little junior-MBA boney-assed, pimple-faced managers.
Our firstline started in on a ream job with respect to our hard-fought implementation of parametric Styvaktakis-Bollen-Gu event classification, analysis and characterization, but he somehow remembered signing off on the conceptual and early deliverables paperwork; couldn’t pronounce the names; then congratulated us for yet further exemplary work. We argued for awhile and he agreed to downrate the glowing ‘exemplary’ to merely ‘acceptable.’ {Gotta’ keep a low profile.} We told him that there were having barometric-drift offset contamination with the exact realtime discrete-Fourier transforms, and he conceded. He loves to take personal credit for everything in the after-lunch middle-management powwows. He doesn’t need an even fatter head right now, but he has bumbled in to a respectable $0.75M signature authority, which we try not to abuse—too much.
