Does anybody have a source for clad 2024-T86 aluminum sheet, .050 thick? Original spec was AN-A-13, would like QQ-A-250/5. This is an old spec (1950's era aircraft, T-33), but it is still listed in MIL-HDBK-5H.

Otherwise, any recommendations on material substitution? This isn't so easy because 2024-T86 is highest strength of the 2024 alloy group. 7075-T6 was suggested, but there is concern about stress corrosion cracking (this application is on wing underside skin panels, so loaded in tension).

Also, does anyone have a source to find old copies of ANC-5, 1946 version? ANC-5 is the precursor to MIL-HDBK-5. How about old AN-A-13, etc. specs. We work on a lot of old aircraft and it is often a real pain when these old specs are referenced.

Thanks for any leads or info [sig][/sig]
