Office space electrical requirements 2

Is there a standard for general office space as far as power requirements....something like X amps per square foot of office space? Just a general rule of thumb for an office where people just have the normal things like a computer etc..
Same question for light manufacturing...any general rule?

Yes. It is of the order of 22 to 40 watts/sq m depending on the exact nature of office use. You can arrive at the amps from the voltage and an approx power factor of 0.8.

One thing to look for is electric heat ( VAVs in particular ) and indivual loads such as elevators, UPS systems etc.

In general we use:
Lighting 3 va/Ft-Sq
Devices 2 va/Ft-Sq
HVAC 4-5 va/Ft-Sq
Misc 1.2 va/Ft-Sq

OR about 7-10 va/Ft-Sq

YMMV Your millage may vary. Location, usage,lighting fixture type, building insulation,heat source ( gas or electric) and amount of windows are factors to consider.
