Drawings received from architects often have gridlines and grid bubbles. On the bubbles, I've exploded, redefined block, placed objects on layer 0 and changed properties while exploded, and still can't change color. Why?

Check to see if you have truly exploded the block to basic objects. Try to change their properties to make sure they are lines, circles, arcs, plines, etc.

IFR is right. Make sure they are not a ADT object or are defined in a way that the color property itself will not change it.

Thanks, But what I've did was try to redefine a block to layer 0 and the changes are occuring only in the lines, not the text. Text color in the block won't change.

Is the text color "ByLayer" ??

Yes, I draw totally bylayer. I've been doing this for over 4 years, and I've never had this problem.

Does the text style specify the color?

That was it. I really appreciate someone taking my head out from where it was!

Whew !! I was beginning to doubt reality there for a while...Glad you got it fixed.
