Objects Disappearing?

ACAD 2009 SP3, XP3

1. Make a new object in Layout, Mspace
2. Open the Model Tab
3. The new object is not there. Multiple times, different new objects.
4. Probably related to a setting in that one drawing.?

We know that the new object was drawn on the Layout in Mspace . . .

If the object was assigned an annotation scale 9which may have been by default), and the viewport doesn't match one of object's annotation scales, it won't be visible, by design.
