One of our group lost their father several days ago and I thought that I would offer our condolences to John A Focht III. I have attached the obituary that was put out by the funeral home - I think you will understand not only FochtIII's loss but our profession's as well.

My condolences to John Focht III. Our profession has indeed lost an eminent practitioner.
Indeed, a low profile giant in the Geotechnical field. My condolences to his family.
His obituary should be required reading for every civil engineering graduate...to instill personal responsibility, professional integrity, and community leadership.
