We currently extrude Nylon 6/6 into shapes ranging from .04 to .08 in thick. I am looking for a less costly substitute to the Nylon 6/6. The main characteristic needed is capabiity to withstand 250 deg F without melting. Any suggestions?
I suspect that you need the part to retain its shape and even hold a load at that temperature so the property in question is the heat distortion temperature, abbreviated HDT.
