NX9: Geometry getting created on hidden side

When in an assembly and a child component is work part, if you invert show and hide to create geometry, the new geometry is always on the other side.

Is the image shaded when you are looking at it?

This one sounds like a bug in NX9 .. is that so?

try this:
rmb in the PNT - Properties the general tab
deactivate this: Unused Items Folder , Hide objects when used

Is this only for NX9? I do not see this option on NX8.5

I occassionally get this problem in NX6.0.5.3 and have asked about it as part of another constraint problem posting here about a year ago, but no response to the blanked component issue.

If one in the assembly navigator uses the option "Show only" on a component, the assembly itself becomes hidden.
I have seen cases where new things then gets created hidden.
Tick the box of the assembly itself.

What exactly do you mean by "on the other side"? Are you talking about physically or are you referring to its 'hidden status'?
