I get annoyed with moving a view and it moving the other views as well because they are associated in allignment. So I went into Drafting Preferences - View - Work Flow - Allignment, and unchecked Associative.
I would have thought this would fix it so that when I add projected views they would not be associative. It did not.
I found that as I am adding the projected view, if I uncheck the Associative box then, it will place unnassociated views and all is fine. Easy fix. Once we uncheck it in the current box as we are adding the views, we never need to worry about it again.
However, I cannot help but wonder. What does the associative check box in Drafting Preferences do then? Should that have worked and it is a glitch in the system that needs to be fixed? Does it do something completely different than I assumed it would? Does it just not work right because of our downloading of the program in our company?
