Is there a "quick start" guide for setting up a SITE material library ?

NX 6.0.5.3, NX 9.0.2.5
NX 10 (Testing)
Windows 7 64 (Windows 8.1 Tablet)

You start with the NX Help files and go to...

> Home > CAE > Advanced Simulation > Materials

...and there will be information about defining and editing material data.

Okay, I've created a couple of custom materials and exported them to a MatML.xml file. The XML file looks good.

Using Customer Defaults, at Site level, I've specified a Directory of MatML files for a Site Library and entered the folder location.

I restarted NX.

When I go to assign a material, my "local" library isn't available ?

NX 6.0.5.3, NX 9.0.2.5
NX 10 (Testing)
Windows 7 64 (Windows 8.1 Tablet)

I finally got the Site Material Library configured.

However, I now need to edit some of the materials in the Library. Problem is, I can't figure out how to edit the materials. The docs refer to "From the Type list, select Edit Library Material." I don't have this option, only "Export".

Can anyone help ?

Hello. I'm Kajetan

I have the same problem. I exported my materials to a MatML.xml file. In Customer Settings I set a path to MatML.xml file. After restarting program my materials aren't available.

How did you solve this problem?

I "think", it does work for other users okay.

For myself, I may have had to specify the path explicitly in the dialog.
