Hi all,
I'm new to NX but pretty good with SolidWorks... so most of my questions are "how to do _________" in NX that I currently do in SW.
I'm not getting much on google searches so posting here. (for the more savvy poster if you know of a thread that answers my question just link me to it would be great.)
Scenario 1: In SW I can create a new sub-assembly from components within an existing assembly by selecting the components from the assembly navigator and with a simple RMB click choose "make new sub-assembly". done..( incidentally mates that are between components within the new sub will be retained...) This replaces the components in the parent assembly with the new sub-assembly.
if the new Sub-assembly part number exists in teamcenter as a empty (no CAD) file is there a way to mimick the above functionality? (import the parts from the parent assembly into the empty sub. and replace them in the parent with the new sub WITHOUT having to build a whole new sub-assembly from the parts)
I know the teamcenter integration adds a level of complexity but there's got to be a way.. right?
Thanks in advance..
