NX8.5 make current feature "goes missing" 1

Hi,

Some people have reported that in NX8.5, the make current feature command seems to go missing sometimes from the RMB menu. Re-starting NX brings it back. And it doesn't look like it's anything to do with roles or application used, it just seems to vanish - see image attached.

Has anyone seen anything happen like this?

Are you saying that when selecting the exact same feature, that sometimes the 'Make Current Feature' option is there and sometimes it's not?

Hi John, no it's more a case of the command disappears entirely from the RMB menu, whichever feature is selected. Almost like its "gone".

And when the session is re-started, the command is available again.

You can see in the image the engineer has chosen a feature from a list of active features, and the option to make current is not there.

I know this sounds strange, and it isn't something I've been able to replicate.

But since a few people have observed it I thought it worth asking on here if it was something people had seen at all?

I haven't heard anything along these lines. That being said, even if you can't reproduce it, I would contact GTAC and see if this has been something others have complained about or not. If nothing else, it might alert them to watch for others making similar comments which may at least give them some antidotal evidence of a possible issue.

also happens in NX7.5 when tools---> update---> delayed after edit is enabled

Hello Dimitris,

Just tested as described and yes, this does cause "make current feature" to disappear.

It's quite possible this is the cause for us, thank you for the great tip!
