Hi,

Is there a possibility to change the View Representation from Exact to Exact ( Pre-NX8.5) after the view has been placed? The issue is that , if its Exact, then when we change the positive directions for Ordinate Dimension origin to two sided , it does not change the value of the dimension from + to -.

If there is a possibility , has anyone written a script or something ? Do you mind to share it with me?

Thanks a ton..

If this is true, then you should be contacting GTAC and having them open a IR/PR covering the difference in Ordinate dimensioning behavior based on what type of view that you're using. Only then would I try to find a workaround, if GTAC wasn't able to suggest anything.

Hi John,

We have the IR which was converted to PR.. As a workaround, Siemens suggested to change the site preference to Exact(Pre-NX8.5).. We did that.. But as I mentioned, it will only take effect for new parts created after this change.. All other parts remain same.. No way to toggle as there is not option in the view representation for Exact( Pre NX8.5)..

So I was wondering it there is any executable or script to force toggle the view to this representation..

Thanks

I doubt it. I think this is one of those situations where you "can't go back". If you're creating a new drawing you can use the old format 'exact' data, but once a view is created using the new 'exact' data, we've lost the ability to revert without starting over.
