NX3: Selecting part of sketch for extrusions... 1

Hi folks,
Riddle me this: how do I select only part of a sketch for extruding into a sheet or solid? In NX2, I could select an individual curve from a sketch without the entire sketch highlighting, but tis not so in NX3 (that I can thus figure out). Any suggestions?

In the selection intent,select single.
