NX11 - Cyclic Assembly Structure (Team Center)

Forgive me if this doesnt make clear sense, as this is something I have never used and I am looking to fix the problem for someone else.

According to a fellow worker, in NX9 if they had revision 005 of a tool open in Team Center, they used to be able to bring Rev 004 into it as a component for whatever reason. In NX11, when they try to bring an older revision into a newer revision, it gives them a "Cyclic Assembly Structure" error.

Is there a setting that allows them to bring old revisions into new revisions. I would swear I ran across this setting somewhere in Customer Defaults not long ago, but I cant seem to find it now.

Customer defaults -> teamcenter integration -> multiple revisions -> enable multiple revisions.

Thanks for reply. Unfortunately thats not what we are looking for. That will allow multiple revisions to be loaded to the same assembly. We already have that checked on.

What we need is for a file to be allowed to load into itself. Talking to them more, I am thinking the revision might not matter. They just need to be able to load an older revision of itself into a file. So I think its more about the circular structure than the revisions. They say they used to be able to do it.
