Hi,

I am trying to create a jacketed box (a box inside a box).

How to I fill in the top corners?

I am trying to create a tab for the outer box and I can not move the curve down in the z direction to the desired dimension. It moves everything. How do I move this curve/ sketch down on the z direction?

I am using NX8.5

Thanks in advance!

John

You can Reattach the sketch to a new Datum Plane (in this case an 'Offset Datum' that can be moved by editing the 'Offset' dimension), as I've done in the attached part file.

Hi John,

Thank you for the replay and sample file!

Could you give me a more basic (detailed) how to? Sorry for not being up to speed on NX but I am trying to get up to speed.

I appreciate your help big time!

John

Attached is a video file showing the workflow that I used to accomplish what I did in the part file I uploaded in my last posting.
