The last patch from Siemens for NX( I think it's the Java 7 Update 67 one) works for all versions of Java after that. I've tested it and it works for Java 8 Update 31.

This issue is resolved completely with NX 10.0 as we've introducing a new documentation server architecture and a search engine that does not depend on which version of Java is installed. Note that Java will still be required, just that the issue related to the Java updates that we've had for the last couple of releases will no longer be a problem.

Anthony, I applied the patch and now I can't even display the documentation. Just an empty page.

Reinstalled the Docs, at least it now opens.

Have a look at: Everything I've said & done in that video applies to NX9, you just need to make sure you use the latest patch available from Siemens.

Other users are starting to see the same issue now.

I'm seeing this in the log file ...

For NX10 you need the 64bits version of java.

Yes, that's correct, you need to make sure that it's the 64-bit version of Java that you have installed on your system before you attempt install either the new documentations server or the actual help files themselves.

@phillpd, what version of NX are you using? I assumed you meant NX9 but others have now assumed 10.

I'm running NX9 and have both 32bit and 64bit versions of Java installed. It appears to have broken after installing one of the MPs.

So if you double click on ...\UGDOC\html_files\nx_help\index.html what happens/do you get?
What browser are you using?

Hi,

I just discovered that I have both java 8 update 45 and java 8 update 45 (64 bits)

So, I was able to install and run NX10 help but after reboot it seems that java 32 bits has a startup priority !!!

I have uninstalled java 32 bits and now everything is ok [bigsmile]
