I was wondering if anyone could help me with an issue I am having with drafting. I have designed a part and I am now trying to dimension the drawing. I have a radius which is created from a spherical diameter and so I am trying to show the complete circle on the drawing and create a reference dimension. Does anyone know how to show the complete circle that I can use to create a dimension from.

Any advice will be helpful

Cheers

Not sure what you exactly mean, but in the View Style settings show hidden lines, and check the Edges hidden by Edges checkbox?

Best regards,

Michaël.

I have cropped a circle to desired size, this is all good. When I come to produce the drawing for this part, I want to show the rest of the cricle but dashed. It is not a hidden line as I have cut the line to size in the model.

Hope this explains a little more

Somewhere, either in the model or in the Drawing view itself, you're going to need to 'draw' your dashed circle object so that it will be visible when you create your Drawing.

in this case you can maybe use a circular centerline symbol for the missing part.

If you in the specific view have extracted edges, you can use the sketcher in the drawing do draw the missing circle. The extracted edges allows you to snap to the existing circle.
