NX Drafting : Impossible to use "I" as label

Hi all,

We have a complex part that requires quite a few views and sections to manufacture.
The drafting was complete, and I was about to finish with labeling the views. However, I just noticed the 'I' letter has been skipped, and is considered an invalid character.

I saw that this ban could be overridden in customer defaults, and have done so. The file seems to still have it enabled as the label cannot be changed, however. I've also tried to remove the three or so instances of this interdiction in user preferences, to no avail. The file was reloaded every time.

Is there any way to avoid putting a "I'm too dumb to fix this" note in the corner stating "Label 'I' has been removed in accordance to ASME Y13.35M" ?

Thanks,

you probably need to create a new drawing file, as the one you're in was created before you made the change.

You will need to reload your Changes into your 2D drawing. Try going to Menu Preferences, and drafting. Reload the Customer defaults, since you made this change. Then try creating your view.
