NX 9 Drafting Issues

I'm working in NX9. I had a view almost fully dimensioned when I needed to stop and work on something else. When I returned I can no longer pick anything but the center lines and dimensions that were previously created. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you changed the layer settings such that the model is non-selectable ?
