In NX 7.5, is there a way to turn off the "Updating objects..., Updating Feature 1, Updating Feature 2, ...etc." while editting a sketch? In my example, a sketch is used to make an extrusion. This part has ~350 features in the part navigator. When I update any sketch, NX will take about 33 seconds to update the entire part navigator every time I do one of the following:
(a) add a line to the sketch
(b) add a constraint or dimension to the sketch
(c) trim a line in the sketch, OR
(d) change a sketch dimension.

It is extremely time-consuming to wait this long for "Updating objects..." for each small change to the sketch. Is there a way to quickly make multiple changes to the sketch, without "Updating objects...", and then when all sketch changes are complete, have it update the model? Thank you.

Try editing the sketch using the Sketch Task or doing an 'Edit with Rollback'. If you are simply editing the Sketch without using either the Task environment or doing an edit with rollback, your edits take effect immediately.

John-- Thank you! It works. That trick will save me a lot of time each day. --Joe
