Hi,

Quick background, I'm at university, and we are provided with a download of NX 7.5. I am currently attempting to model an aircraft using NX, and have found .txt files from enthusiast websites which give the data points for an aerofoil shape. Is there an easy and straight forward way of linking the file NX and having NX plot the curves into a sketch? I am aware that with past versions of NX it is as simple as Insert -> Curve -> Spline, and then from there telling the program which file to use. However, 7.5 only has something called 'Studio Spline' which seems to be more about doing it yourself 'free-hand'.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Change your role to Advanced with Full Menus and you will have Insert -> Curve -> Spline back again.

Follow Anthony's suggestion then in the Spline command use the Through Points option, then pick From File. Your text file will need to have the extension ".dat" instead of the usual ".txt".
