SPS has a catalog of standard fasteners (it produces) that has proven to be a helpful "finder" for me. I then go to IHS specs-standards for the actual data.
Down load the "Aerospace Fasteners (7.5MB PDF file)
Numerical Listing of Parts. Lists NAS, NA, AN part numbers for aerospace bolts, nuts and washers" brochure.
The noted brochure has a little pictorial view of most current generation NAS, MIL, MS etc fastenerss... and enough of a description to be a useful starting point.
Thanks to all of you. I found what I was looking for.
Just for completeness, where do you get the ESNA nutplate detail information from? IHS site doesn't recognize them.
Bad news: one of my replies appears to have been trash-canned [disappeared].
Further options to consider.
FTI ForceTech rivetless nutplates. Sealed version is available. Elegant solution! NP base is sleeve-cold worked into position like forcemate bushing [obvious fatigue benefits]; and a replaceable Nut element is installed.
