I am experiencing nuisance tripping on a Merlin Gerin M08 H1 600 VAC 3 pole circuit breaker. The original STR 58U trip unit was replaced with an AC-PRO-MP trip unit. The site loads are low, current is typically between 30-100A. I have heard that there have been issues with this breaker nuisance tripping on low current but from what I have found out so far it seems this issue was with the STR 58U trip unit.
Does anyone have experience with the AC-PRO-MP trip unit? Does if have similar problems to the STR 58U? Currently there is no 24 VDC auxiliary power for the trip unit, has anyone been able to resolve this issue by supplying 24VDC aux power as mentioned in this thread for the STR 58U: thread238-126746
Any thoughts on this would be appreciated!
