nozzle welding to head 2

is that mandatory to do LPI/MT on Nozzle on head welding.
the vessel is spot radiography ( RT-3 )
I was told if any nozzle on any head we need to do LPI.

Your material is CS, I presume. Sec VIII calls for an MPI of the head after forming. Has it been done? If yes, LPI on nozzle weld is a good practice.

David339933, I was wondering that myself. I made heads large & small for 28 years. I can count on 1 hand the number of times we were required to MT or PT the outside. This was always a customer requirement above and beyond the Code.
