My question isn't a perfect fit for this forum, but here goes:

We are tiring of torching and grinding Injection Molding nozzles clean. What other methods are there?

TIA,

Rich

Hi
I use to clean my nozzles in an oven at about 450 celcius. I left them in many hours. There is almost nothing left to remove after that.
I hope this helps.

Alternatively use a fluidised sand bed heated to the same, about 450 dec C.
You can buy / build one large enough to put in whole screws.

One thing you need to remember when putting any piece of equipment or part in an oven is to know to what temperature you can safely heat it to get the plastic off without damaging the part/piece of equipment. If you think cleaning a part is difficult, try explaining why you need to replace a part because it warped ;-)
