I have evaluated a site that is a former surface mine. The owner wishes to construct a house on the "mine spoil/mine soils." The soils can accept very little effluent based on the structure, consistence, and texture. A Wisconsin Mound is not applicable.
Any Canadian engineers here to discuss their experiences with designing and constructing a C3 Contour Trench system based on the Nova Scotia guidelines?
I think it is a fantastic design. I know that a mound system on this site will experience toe seepage. The inclusion of the "mantle" at the toe of the mound to accept and evaporate the effluent is absolutley required.
