Notes disappearing

If I enter notes into the drawing itself, as opposed to parameters in the model, will they disappear if the format is replaced. I do know that they should be in the model but, the customer has not done so (Raytheon).

The notes (if put on the drawing) should not disappear if the format is replaced. If the notes are put into the format then they will disappear once the format has been replaced.
