Can any one please explain the procedure to calculate reaction at bearings for a nose suspended traction motor which mounted on a axle and whole mass is suspended, other end of it is mounted to bogie. For refernce atached is the general arrangement dwg. Please help if any body knows about this. Thanks in advance

Within the section view, you can resolve the gear separating forces.

The gear tangent forces and gravity forces are normal to that view.

How far did you get into the problem before stalling?
What did you try that didn't work out?

Mike thanks for reply,

I know that how to calculate separating force & tangential forces.

My concern is how to calculate the bearing reactions and selection bearing based on this. as bearings are mounted on the axle, traction motor mounted on the bearings and it will rotate with the axle and therefore it acts as dynamic support.

Why I am asking for reactions is that entire motor is suspended b/n three points,CG of the motor is in X & Y distance from axle center line.I want to transfer all forces into reactional forces for the bearing.
