I have a situation in which several analyzers are venting into a single vent header, which then runs to a flare stack. Unfortunately, the pressure in the flare stack varies by ~40psi, which throws off the analyzer calibration.
I had an idea of putting the vent header behind an backpressure regulator (holding pressure in the vent header at ~1" WC) and having a diaphragm pump to pull suction on the line and push it into the flare stack.
Do you see any problems with this? Is there a better way to handle it?
