Is there a way to display the normal vector to a given face. I need to ultimately know the ax+by+cz+d=0 equation for the face that I am selecting

Perhaps make an axis or a line in a 3D sketch

Make a reference axis that is perpendicular to the face/plane. Then draw a line of unit length starting at the face/plane that is along this reference axis (3D Sketch). Use the measure tool, select the end points of your sketched line, and the Delta (XYZ) will be your normal vecotr coefficients.

This answer is exactly what I needed. I only have one problem. I dont know how to sketch along a user created axes. It disappears when I go into sketch mode.

Let me rephrase my problem. I don't know how to 3d sketch so that the line specifically follows the reference axes. under the parameters, it doesnt really say anything about the new reference axes.

Nevermind, I guess I found a way to do it, but it was kind of not straight forward. I added a relation to the mix and made the line and the axes colinear.
