I'm need to apply a non-uniform force or pressure on a beam's surface ruled by a law like the equation y=2x (or a curve). Does anyone know how to do it in Nastran Design Simulation 7,5(integrated to UG 7,5)?

Thanks

Fabio

Dear Fabio,
The meshing capabilities available in NX Design Simulation let you automatically generate 3-D (solid) meshes on volumes using tetrahedral elements, please note the use of 1-D CBAR/CBEAM elements is included only in NX Advanced Simulation.

In NX Advanced Simulation when you define a boundary condition, you can use fields to define how the magnitude of the load or constraint varies, as well as how the load or constraint maps to a spatial area of the model. The type of boundary condition determines the methods that you can use to define magnitude or how the boundary condition is distributed spatially.

In NX Advanced Simulation some boundary conditions, such as a force load, provide a spatial distribution method that lets you define how the boundary condition is applied to the model. This distribution method is used with standard (non-spatial) boundary condition types, and it is separate from the boundary condition magnitude.

Best regards,
Blas.
