To simplify life, you can model the shear wall as just a series of joint restraints too. The total length over which restraints are modelled should be close to the actual width of the shear wall.
But what do you mean by joint restraint? Are you going to fix them or hinge them. I would hinge at the column but fix at the shearwall and would provide top slab reinforcement through the shearwall. Or model all restraints as hinges and then still provide some top reinforcement through the shearwall.
Some good judgement is required on this issue.
