Please advise me about the references to study flow of polymer melt in pipe. I would like to use finite element method for temperature and velocity profile.

You could try Algor at They have a nonlinear analysis package. In addition there is some Australian software designed specifically for polymer melts. I think its named Flowmaster but am not sure. Contact the CSIRO in Australia and check with them.
