Hi all,

I have been doing pushover analysis with the plastic hinge definition as per ASCE 41:13. The model is distributed mass OMRF model. 6 storied, 4x4 bay with 5mx5m bay width, 3.5m storey height.
I have uploaded the SAP file.

The problem is " I am getting a lot of null steps and only 3 out of 100 steps are getting saved". I think there is some convergence issue but i unable to solve it by trial and error. Please help me to crack this.

Thanks in Advance.

Is it possible to get negative base shear in pushover analysis ?

And why are the hinge results so random for M2 and M3 hinges ?

How pushover curves are related to hinge backbone curve ?

Can you confirm that the control joint is on the upper floor?

Whenever i conduct some pushover analysis in SAP2000, the result do not converge. Only in few cases, I can complete the analysis with any problem. What may be the problem behind this ?
