Non-Common Font in Title Block--okay?

Is there any reason to shy away from using a non-'common' font in my drawings' title blocks? By non-common, I mean something that doesn't come standard with Windows (like Arial). I'm concerned with PDF output and exported DWG/DXF files--I don't want the recipient of either to get a file in which they can't read the text. Thoughts? Thanks,

You could always send the font with the file, just in case they don't have it on their computer. However many people might not know what to do with it unless you also give them instructions.

We made Arial standard on all SW files. It is standard and just about everyone has it. Any special fonts can create problems exporting/importing some files, especially DXF.

I think the pdf file is not afected by the adcense of fonts, once it's created. We have "special fonts" in our title block and never detected problems.

But if you export in DXF/DWG format or share SW files, then you need to send the font file to the recipients.
