Recent calc I had to do refers to fu,nominal of welding filler material.
The standard according to which they are produced, only explicitly stated fu,min and fu,max.

Most conservative value depends on which calculation you want to perform, for one instance it's on the safe side to use the min value, for the other it's the max value.
It would be weird in an excel file to have two values with the same denomination (in this case: fu,nominal).

What would you do?
Average of both?
average of 1x min, 2 times max (to end up with a value at two thirds towards the max value?
Something else?

If you are using mechanical property values I prefer minimum values for conservatism. In other words I accept no credit for higher strength or stronger materials. For loads on material I use a maximum value with proper design margins again for conservatism.
