I've laid out a 3D polyline (for a pipeline model) this is with about 200 to 300 points. But now I need to know the exact number of node points so the stress guys can do their thing. HOW do I get AutoCAD to give this value to me?

It is relatively simple. Place your UCS somewhere on the drawing as a reference 3D origin axis, then do a list command "LI" and pick all the nodes if you actually used those on the drawing or if you used a 3D polyline the vertices will show up as "X","Y" and "Z" values when you do the "LI" command.

Use the "properties" command. In the dialogue box under "geometr"y there is a "vertex" box (beginning with #1), click the back arrow to get the number of the last one.

CarlB ...Yup got it that way THX!
