I want to have a contour plot showing nodal displacement as well as the node numbers. However the countour plot displays text saying "max" and "min" on top of two node numbers and makes them unreadable. Is there a way of turning the max and min text off so I can have the contours as well as all of the node numbers legible?

Are you using ANSYS/Mechanical (formerly Workbench) or are you using ANSYS/Mechanical APDL (formerly Classic)?
If you're in ANSYS/APDL, try looking in the PltCtrls/Window Controls/Window Options and uncheck the Max/Min display.
If you're in ANSYS/Mechanical, you should be able to turn the Max/Min values on and off in the top menu bar.
