I had an RD400 ('77) and an RD350L/C ('81). Both great bikes but I never thought the exhaust sound was anything special. Now my Triumph Speed Triple 1050 at 10,000 RPM makes a beautiful wail.

... bought my first proper bike (GPz550 H2) based on the noise. I4, 4 into 1 exhaust. Smitten at first fire. Crap handling though.
