Has the NFPA70E-2018 arc-flash hazard formula been revised in accordance with IEEE 1584-2018 ?

The simple answer to that is ... not likely.
Usually, the 70E document gets updated in the subsequent (or subsequent plus one) revision cycle - which means it would have to occur AFTER 2018 since the subject IEEE standard was not available UNTIL 2018.

My question is: why are you referring to the 2018 version of 70E, when the 2024 version is out and available? Have you reviewed either one of them?

Mike

If you're referring specifically to the 2018 NFPA 70E, then no. The IEEE 1584 revision came out very late in 2018 while the 2018 70E was released in late 2017.

But in general, NFPA 70E-2018 does not require any specific calculation to be used for arc energy calculations. IEEE 1584 is referenced in the Appendix but is not required to be used.
