Hello New to the forums

I am working on a satellite project and am designing the Casing of the satelitte with Pro E. My question is For the analysis of my design- Should I use analysis with pro E or Ansys? I am new to both analysis programs but my predecessor used ansys. Is one suited better for certain applications. From what I have heard ansys is more difficult to use but maybe more powerful?

Any Advice would be greatful

Thanks

Steve

Hi Steve,

The usage of Mechanica or ANSYS is purely dependent on the type of analysis you intend to do. If it is linear static analysis even Mechanica is good enough. However, if any non linear analysis or time dependent analysis is there I suggest you to go for a "high end" analysis softwares like ANSYS or even better Abaqus.
