Hello!,
Just to inform the engineering community that a new version of FEMAP V2021.1 is released and available for download, to learn more visit my blog in the following link:
Simcenter Femap v2021.1 is the latest user-focused release of Simcenter Femap containing many features and enhancements requested by our users worldwide, along with important fixes for known issues.
The latest release provides a variety of enhancements that will improve your productivity across the simulation workflow. First and foremost, various tools in the Meshing Toolbox can now be used to update a hexahedral mesh by only choosing a single curve or surface to update. Previously, manual selection of all necessary curves was required to successful perform an update to any portion of the model meshed with hexahedral elements.
Mesh sizes on curves of geometric surfaces which are adjacent to other geometric surfaces but not stitched or nonmanifold added together can now be automatically matched to one another based on new settings for proximity mesh propagation.
Support for Implicit Nonlinear Analysis for MSC Nastran, often referred to as solution sequence 400 (SOL 400), has been added. This includes new options on the MSC Nastran tab for Connection Properties, ability to define Property Extensions for many Property types, and solver-specific Material types. In addition, a new analysis type has been added to the Analysis Set Manager which has new dialog boxes to specify Nonlinear Behavior, Automatic Contact Parameters, and Mass and Damping, along with some new options for Contact Parameters. Finally, Control Parameters can now be specified for the Master Case, any Subcase, and/or any Analysis Step, which were added specifically for SOL 400.
There are also several updates to solver integration for modal transient, modal frequency, and DDAM analysis types in Simcenter Nastran®, as well as updates and correction for ANSYS®, Abaqus®, and LS-DYNA®.
Best regards,
Blas.
