Does anyone know of any websites/or books for someone just starting to solid model plastic automotive parts? I am particularly interested in designing parts that are tool safe (Die lock, etc.). I am new to this, so I need to know even the basic rules of what to do and what not to do. Thank you-

Major plastics raw material suppliers like GE, DuPont, Ticona, BASF, Atofina, DSM, Bayer etc will have literature with tool design recommendations.

As Patprimmer said. Also they have some very good classes. They want you to design parts with thier materials that work. Go to your suppliers webpage and look around.

Thank you everyone for the great info. Thank you "Darrude," for the info, it was exactly what I was looking for and couldn't find.
