Hi,

The wiring voltage for NEMA L6-20R receptacle is 250V based on the NEMA chart. Is 250V the maximum voltage that can be applied to the L6-20R receptacle? In other words, can I provide power to this receptacle from both 208/120v panel and 240/120v panel?

Thank you for helping with this question in advance.

Not at the same time. The same style receptacle can be used for both 240 and 208 V. But there's no neutral, so there won't be any 120 V for either supply.

dpc, thank you for your explanation, it is helpful.
