Need to rent a high end laptop for CAD use in China

I'm preparing for a trip to Ningbo China and I need a high end laptop to take with me that has a lot of storage, large screen, min 2GB RAM, top of line video card, and high end processor. Anyone know of a good source to rent a machine? I'm in Southern California and will be heading to China in about 3 weeks.

To clarify, I need to rent it before I go, not find one once I get there.

I have never rented one. A quick Google search turns up several.

If its for your employer, I suggest asking your IT department for a loaner.

Also, whichever you use, invest in some good physical and software security control.

Keep in mind I have never done this but if could be done I would suggest the following:

Assuming you already have the software needed for the job and an exisiting workstation I would after finding a rental laptop-
- Purchase a hard drive compatible witht the said laptop
- Have your IT dept clone your existing workstation to that hard drive
- use the laptop with your hard drive for duration and at the end you keep the hardrive and hand back the laptop.

One of my assumptions about my desktops at work and at home are that they are hard for bad people to get at. When I transfer information to my laptop, I consider the possibility that the laptop will be stolen.

Do not clone your desktop to your laptop. Transfer only the information that you need.
